Additional Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure Information

As a little pirate with big dreams, Zach doesn't just have his sights set on mere treasure or spectacularly speedy pirateships - he wants to be the greatest pirate who ever lived! To reach that lofty goal, he is going to have to outwit, outsmart and outduel every obstacle that gets in his way. It's a good thing he's found his new enchanted pal, Wiki, a magical hand bell with the power to transform any object into something practical. Get ready to explore seven vibrant and fantastic lands, from lush jungles and frigid ice temples to colossal castles and floating airships. Each level contains multiple sub-levels of peril, puzzles and plunder. Play alone or as a group to work through each increasingly complex puzzle. Use the Wii Remote to navigate, open objects, transform items and unlock new pathways with a whole new variety of methods. Even boss battles are puzzle-based, so you'll need to think on your feet! ESRB Rated E for Everyone

What Customers Say About Zack & Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure:

It is the first game that he can actually handle (besides a Diego one we rented a couple of years ago that he completed in 2 hours), and, although it is "timed", every time you interact with something, time stops to give you time to do it. It is not dark or scary. Well, my son LOVES this game. I bought this game based on the reviews here. It just really fits into a niche that doesn't have a lot of games out there.6-10 year olds wthout being violent or ominous (unlike Mushroom men:Spore wars.too dark for him--it is not that dark, but to a 7 year old.). And the pattern changes so that he has to try new things to get passed the bad guys.

I like this game because it makes him think and put puzzles together--First, do this, then this, then this to get this.

It also has a LOT of talking that slows down the game for me, but, again, my son just loves it.

Each section is short so he doesn't get tired of attempting it.

I rated this game based on my son's opinion since he is the one I bought it for.

It has a lot of ingame help.

I think the talking helps slow down the pace of the game for him so he doesn't feel he is under pressure.

We have a LOT of other Wii games (Star Wars, Legos, Band Hero, Smash bros brawl, etc) but they are generally too hard for him to play well--to think and act at the same time and do several actions at once.

Graphics are cute and silly, though the skull and crossbones when you die can be a little much for the more sensitive children.

I know because I have been looking.

sound is ok. I had seen it on many top 25 wii game lists. I just bought this game used for a quarter of the price. Definately a must own, for young and old alike. Except for the beginning sequence (wich is unbearably long and painfully japanese in sounds and story telling). The puzzles are creative, graphics are great. I think even my wife will like this one. Buy it used, great for that price.

I liked the classic point and click style, and the logic problem aspect of the game was difficult without being so impossible that I wanted to give up. This has quickly become my favorite Wii title. It's more of a casual game as compared to titles like Okami and The Conduit, but it isn't a kid's game at all - it was definitely designed with the core gamer in mind. I really wish that the game had sold better, because Capcom could definitely build on the first Zack and Wiki game to do sequels, but I have little hope that we'll see more. In any case, this is a top Wii game, and if you don't own it yet, you should.

Do not let the cover fool you. Yes the animation is very 'childish' like, but underneath that lies a superb puzzle game that you could put in the top ten list. It is funny, the graphics are great and the puzzles are challenging. In addition it makes superb use of the Wii control as you have to physically move it to do things in the game.

They have character. Reviews have said it was funny. I was looking for it in local stores with no success. You will have to use your noodle on some puzzles, unless you find one, then figure out how to use it.

I was happy to find it here. I have heard a lot about this game. The graphics are stunning. That's why I got it, and believe me, they are on to something. Seldom does a video game make me laugh, they are too predictable.

Sure they are cartoony, but this is no preschool romp. Let's hope we will be reviewing Zack & Wiki 2 soon. It's reviews were good but it was so old, you could not find it in stores. A point and click game which makes it's point in such an enjoyable way. Then why, if I know Zack and Wiki are going freak out when i do something right, am I still laughing.

Their antics. No wonder IGN is saying get it. A must have, enjoy the engaging romp.
